Rollins Inc., a global leader in pest control services, has acquired Saela Pest Control, a rapidly growing company based in Orem, Utah. The acquisition expands Rollins’ presence across the Pacific Northwest, Mountain West, and Midwest regions of the U.S.
Founded in 2008 by Andrew Richardson, Saela initially operated under the name Edge Pest Control before rebranding to Saela in 2022. The name “Saela” means “happiness” in Old Norse, reflecting the company’s customer-centric philosophy. Saela has grown into a $65 million enterprise with over 250 employees and 18 locations nationwide. It was ranked 23rd on the 2023 PCT Top 100 List.
“The acquisition of Saela will accelerate our long-term growth strategy,” said Jerry Gahlhoff, President and CEO of Rollins. “Saela will operate as a standalone brand, and its service areas align well with our current operations. Their strong culture and customer-first approach make them an excellent fit.”
A major contributor to Saela’s growth has been its door-to-door sales model. This deal marks Rollins’ second major acquisition of a residential pest control firm built on door-to-door sales. In 2023, the company also acquired Fox Pest Control, a $100 million firm headquartered in Logan, Utah.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Rollins, a world-class organization,” said Andrew Richardson, Chairman and CEO of Saela. “Our shared commitment to leadership, people, and exceptional service made this an easy decision.”
The Potomac Company served as the exclusive financial adviser to Saela during the transaction.
